A change is as good as a rest because a rest *is* a change. Duhh.

After spending last weekend really caning it on Tubey here, I decided to give it a rest for a few days and geek out on Sim City. When I went back to the needles yesterday, I’d sort of forgotten about it, so I was excited to discover that I was in the process of knitting something awesome.

I’d say I love my brain for giving me those sorts of nice surprises, but the same easily-distracted brain has just left with me with some over-stewed, lukewarm tea. Swings and roundabouts, I guess.

I finish this post with some sad news. I have a large hole in the heel of my one remaining Piglet sock. :(

Today is a nice day.

In fact, it’s a very yellow day. As such, Quant had her first outing, and received an unprompted compliment from a colleague. Here’s the pic, for non-ravelers:

And I heard an interview with Delia Smith on the Today programme which made me feel really bad for hatin’ on her in the past. She’s lovely and I totally forgive her for specifying eighths of teaspoons of ingredients in her recipes.
