Last night, during the last few rows of knitting before sleep, I suddenly felt my yarn snagging a little as I pushed it down the needle. As it was dark, I blindly carried on, making a mental note to check it again today. Imagine my surprise when I spotted how close to disaster I had been.

Yikes! Right in the middle of a jumper knitted entirely in the round, so it’s not like I can just swap back onto straights. So I braved the internets, and somehow managed to buy only the needles I required – no wool! Though it was a very close run thing. Only by silently shouting WOOL WILL PROBABLY STILL EXIST WHEN YOU HAVE USED UP YOUR STASH, NO MORE LAURA, NO MORE at myself did I manage to resist the temptation. I’m so proud of me. Since every maaaaa person I hear on the internet maaaaa talks in such glowing terms maaaaa about Addi Turbos I’ve decided maaaaa to get myself some. Just to see what they are like. So I stuck a pin in the internet and ordered from www.englishyarns.co.uk. This morning. It’s apparently been despatched already. Wow.

Glad you averted disaster! That was close.
Just a caution: your gauge (tension) may be different on the Addi turbos than they are on your current needle (are they bamboo?). I know my ebony and bamboo gauges are different. So before you get too far with the new needle, *measure!*
Found your blog on wordpress tag surfer.
Cheers! Michele

That is something that crossed my mind. Fortunately I’m quite close to the bottom now, so even if I get that wrong I can claim it’s a design feature. Thanks for the pointer!
